Eden Body Works
The MDSA has the priviledge of working with this company during their rapid growth in 2007 when Jasmine Lawrence was invited on the Oprah Winfrey Show. She has since been on the Montel Williams Show, The Today Show, and several others. She also won a teen business award from Black Enterprise magazine.
Eden Body Works is available nationwide in many retailers including Wal-Mart and Whole Foods.
Jasmine is such a sweet, wonderful young lady that's going places!
The NiRiNi Company
The NiRiNi Company offers soy candles and spa/bath products. The candles are very clean burning and absolutely wonderful!
Natasha is a strong mother that has weathered the storm personally and in business. Truly, an example to all!
The MDSA was contacted in 2008 by Likisma, a UK based company, to help launch their US division. Likisma provides aromatherapy products with the purest essential oils that I've ever used. Too bad the company has placed the United States division on hold-perhaps in the future you will be able to experience this wonderful product line. Or if you live in the UK, you can purchase Likisma's products through Vie, a direct selling company.
Nyenzo, LLC caters to the African American woman. With our special skin and hair care needs, Nyenzo has a seletion of products that addresses our beauty concerns with elegant flair. Sometimes simple is best and with the easy skin care collections and moisture-laden body care products, Nyenzo has filled a niche in the beauty industry. Dionne Blanks, CEO and founder of Nyenzo, has opened a way for people to care for their beauty needs and earn money while they do so but creating a direct sales division.
Urban Nature
Urban Nature was on the way to success with its unique, Southern, New Orleans-style, bath and body products. The handmade-cold-pressed soap was to die for! But, the same year that it opened their online store, Hurricane Katrina hit and the business couldn't survive the storm.
Hopefully, Urban Nature can make its way back into the beauty industry.
